Vegetarian Weight Loss
Vegetarian people also put on weight and become obese. So for them a vegetarian weight loss diet is essential with some form of regular physical activity or exercise. A well balanced vegetarian diet based around whole meal bread, potato, rice along with a wide variety of nuts, seeds, fresh vegetables and fruits are ideal if taken in moderate amounts and at intervals helps in losing weight.
After getting up from bed, a glass of warm water with honey and lemon helps in flushing out the toxins from the body. Early morning one can take a glass of fresh juice.
Breakfast should be the main meal of the day consisting of wholesome meal with a bowl of vegetables. Lunch should be light and should consist of soup or vegetable stew, with lots of salads and sprouts. Evening snacks should be a fruit with a glass of skimmed milk.
Dinner can consist of whole-wheat bread with lentils and a bowl of freshly cooked vegetables and curd. This is a diet that has low fat and high fiber content. The meal timing should be fixed and dinner should be taken three hours before sleep. Intake of high fiber diet also protects against bowel disease and helps the food to pass more quickly through the digestive tract, thereby reducing the chances of constipation.
Different varieties of salads can be included in the diet as roughage helps in eliminating the toxins as well as reducing weight. Sufficient amount of water should be taken to keep the body hydrated and supple. Avoid processed foods, fast foods, fried foods and food rich in saturated fatty acids.
Along with this balanced diet; one should do regular exercise like skipping, brisk walking, swimming and yoga. Early morning is the best time to do exercise as the body and mind is fresh. Vegetarian weight loss diet along with exercise will help you in losing weight and feeling fresh and healthy.
